Key to culinary paradise: oysters with cider

Part

In the March issue of Delicious wine, beer and cider with fish. Vinologist and wine writer Ellen Dekkers put it to the test and checked whether we are right that the Dupont Cuvée Colette is a perfect accompaniment to oysters.
Her tasting notes: 'Cuvée Colette is the chic lady among ciders. As refined as champagne. From Normandy and made according to the champagne method. Has crystal clear golden bubbles, is yeasty like champagne, yellow fruit and soft on the palate with fine, lingering grapefruit freshness. The delicate taste of oysters together with this cider is the key to culinary paradise! 'Regular' dry country cider has too much of an apple flavor with raw oysters, but Colette is a sensation!'
