Recipe for Mulled Cider

Ingredients:


1 liter of dry cider
5 tablespoons of calvados or brandy
275 ml apple juice
50g dark brown sugar
The zest of 1 orange (cut into strips)
3 whole cloves
1 1/2 cinnamon stick (broken in half)
(small) tablespoon of allspice berries

Preparation

Place the cider, Calvados, apple juice and sugar in a saucepan and heat over a very low heat. Then add the orange zest and spices and cook over low heat for another 20 to 30 minutes to season.
