Description
The Givre or cidre de glace is a soft, non-sparkling “apple wine” and has a unique aromatic richness and softness. The cidre de glace is sweet and very concentrated, making it a perfect alternative to a dessert wine. A Givre goes well with blue cheese, desserts with dried fruit and apple (tarte tatin, crumble, walnut cake), chocolate and red fruit.
After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the cider is cooled. At low temperatures, ice crystals form and separate from the liquid. This liquid is then enriched with sugar and alcohol. As many as 8 refrigerations are required to make a Dupunt Givre 2022 Bio Cidre de Glace.
