The Cidre Matterhorn was created in collaboration with another cider producer from the Alps: Giorgio Maffei. Apples from the Aosta Valley, Savoie and South Tyrol are used for the cider. Some pear juice has been added for extra tannin and bouquet.
This cider is made according to the method charmat: that is, the second fermentation took place in a pressure vessel. The Maley Cidre Matterhorn is slightly dry, fresh and has a nice bubble, making it very suitable as an aperitif.
