We asked the famous Amsterdam cocktail bar Flying Dutchmen Cocktails to create a cocktail for our méthode traditionnelle ciders and perfect for poiré and our house cider Cider Amsterdam. Here the result.

Cocktail with méthode traditionnelle champagne cider

Required:

  • 90ml method traditionnelle champagne cider
  • 30ml gin
  • 20ml fresh lemon juice
  • 10ml sugar syrup

Pour the gin, sugar syrup and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker. Fill the cocktail shaker full with ice cubes and shake hard. Strain the drink into a pre-chilled flute glass. Pour in the champagne cider and stir briefly.
Garnish with a long lemon zest.

Recommended cider: Maley Cidre Jorasses 2018 Extra Brut, Kelterie Nöll Apfelschaumwein Brut, El Gaitero Valle, Ballina y Fernandez Sidra Brut NatureDupont Cuvée Colette.

Perfect serve with Cider Amsterdam Brut

Required:

Pour the old gin, red vermouth and orange bitters into a long drink glass filled with ice cubes. Pour in the Cider Amsterdam Brut and stir briefly. Garnish with an orange zest.

Perfect serve with poiré

Required:

  • 120ml Poiré
  • 30ml vodka
  • 20ml fresh lime juice
  • 10ml pineapple syrup

Pour the vodka, pineapple syrup and lime juice into a long drink glass filled with ice cubes. Pour in the Poiré and stir briefly. Garnish with a slice of (dried) pineapple and a sprig of fresh rosemary.

Perfect serve with Cider Amsterdam Demi-Sec

Required:

  • 120ml Cider Amsterdam Demi-Sec
  • 30ml bourbon
  • 20ml honey syrup (1 part honey dissolved in 1 part water)
  • 10ml fresh lemon juice

Pour the bourbon, honey syrup and lemon juice into a rocks glass filled with ice cubes. Pour in the Cider Amsterdam Demi-Sec and stir briefly.
Garnish with a slice of red apple and a cinnamon stick.
